Kate Upton, Julianna Hough, Pippa Middleton and Kelsea Ballerini’s wedding, all included something special that made it their own. And so we reveal our wedding inspirations from celebrity brides.
Kelsea Ballerini is Barefoot with Tequila
Right after Kelsea said ‘I do’ in Cabo San Lucas, servers began handing out tequila shots to guests. What a memorable, fun way to commemorate how the couple first met. The guests won't forget that wedding. For the bride and groom, it's a pretty cheap way to make a big impact and engage your guests right from the ceremony. Talk about making a statement.
BTW...Kelsea was barefoot for the entire ceremony and looked amazing!
Who doesn't love the idea of a tequila shot? You can ask for a "taste" of tequila (1/2 shot) at your wedding venue. It's cheaper than you think - $500
If your groom is taller than you, indulge and go barefoot. Chances are your dress is long, so nobody can see your legs anyway!
Pippa Defines Grace
The guest list alone is reason to follow this wedding. Kate Middleton is the sister of the bride, ensuring some serious headlines.
Traditional bridal attire looked elegant and natural on Pippa , as she donned a classic white gown with high neckline, cap sleeves, and sparkly headpiece. Lace from start to finish was perfectly altered to fit Pippa's petite shape and it truly showcased how beautiful she is.
Light pink, white, and gold stole the show when it came to the bridal party. Kate Middleton’s children were in the wedding, wearing traditional English attire. Looking for details to borrow? Consider using their color palette for a neutral yet elegant backdrop. Additionally, incorporate more family into your special day by having more than one child serve as flower girl and ring bearer!
The children of the wedding made headlines with their old school England attire, the gold and cream while matched perfectly with the blush pink bridesmaids gowns and cream white wedding gown.
Julianna Hough’s Backyard Feel
Dress change after dress change, Julianna Hough’s wedding was picture perfect. Pink made another appearance at a celebrity wedding, and twinkle lights gave the reception a back yard feel. The wedding was hosted on Lake Coeur d’Alene in Idaho, where she married NHL star Brooke Laich.
Flowers stole the show at this celebrity wedding; nearly 2,000 blooms were used to create all the floral arrangements. Including 100 flower boxes and 200 garden roses for the reception centerpieces. And to top it all off, as the happy couple said ‘I do’ confetti cannons exploded to celebrate.
Not one but two dresses, Hough wore a tradition strapless gown to her ceremony with a beautiful white veil. But when it came time for the reception, she changed into a three-piece jumpsuit to hit the dance floor.
Are you a bridesmaid? Hough's bridesmaids choreographed a dance to kick off the reception, a simple and fun way to show the bride how fun it was to be apart of her special day!
Kate Upton Hit a Homerun
Its safe to say that Kate Upton is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, but she almost missed her own wedding! She married the Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander, instead of being on route to their dream wedding that was held in Tuscany, Verlander was in Los Angeles playing the Dodgers. But he won the World Series, so no one could really blame him!
Having a destination wedding was always in the cards for this couple, they had always vacationed in Italy so when it came time to pick a wedding location, Tuscany was the perfect place! Thinking of a destination wedding? The couple wanted their wedding to feel like they were back on vacation, but this time with all of their friends and family.
Who doesn’t love a party theme? For the rehearsal dinner the couple asked all the guests to wear red, they wanted everyone to feel apart of the event. When it came time for Upton to choose her gown, lace was a must, Valentino offered to designed her one of a kind gown for her special day, how do you say no to that?
Pink stole the show in the form of bridesmaids once again. Meanwhile, Upton also slipped into a more “realistic gown for her reception, wanting something she could have fun in.
